COMP MUSIC Publishing Ltd is the music publishing company and provides such services as follows:
- Collection of copyright royalties due to the usage of the music works on the mechanic carriers,
- Collection of copyright royalties due to the public performance and broadcast of the music works.
Also COMP MUSIC Publishing licenses the usage of the compositions in:
- films
- advertisement spots
- printed editions (folios and sheet music)
- creating the ringtones for mobile telephones
-  creating the cover versions (so-called derived works)

Having the exclusive sub-publishing agreement with EMI Music Publishing we represent the enormous catalogue of music works in the territory of Ukraine: which is about 1 500 000 of music works and 65 000 of writers. Among them - Sting, Queen, Roxette, Kurt Cobain, Toni Braxton, Celin Dion, Sugababes, Whitney Houston etc.



Our company was registered in 2003. In May of the same year we’ve signed the subpublishing agreement with the biggest and most famous music publishing company EMI Music Publishing. Thus COMP MUSIC Publishing started to publish in Ukraine the huge catalogue of about 1 500 000 compositions and 65 000 music writers and composers.

Concerning EMI Music Publishing Ltd. – it is the international company, it has the numerous offices in different countries of the world from East to West. There are many independent music publishing companies that gave their powerful catalogues of different styles  to EMI for worldwide subpublishing.

Amongst the star writers of EMI are Sting, Mick Hucknall (Simply Red), Jay Kay (Jamiroquai), band Queen, Roxette writer – Per Gessle, Kurt Cobain, the well-known writer of vast number of pop songs (for such performers as Toni Braxton, Celin Dion, Sugababes, Whitney Houston etc) Diane Warrren and many others.

Beside the foreign catalogue our company publishes such famous Ukrainian authors as Ruslana          Lyzhychko (whose song – WILD DANCES won the Eurovision 2004), Vadym Krasnooky (front man and writer of almost all songs by the band MAD HEADS), Yulia Mischenko (famous band Таліта Кум), band Гайдамаки in full line-up, Sergiy Mikhalok and Oleksandr Khatskevich (known to the public as SASHA & SIROZHA) and many other writers.

The aim of the music publishing business in not only to collect and distribute the royalties for the writers but to promote the works of its writers in the new markets all over the world. To realize this COMP MP has the broad range of opportunities because it has the signed agreements and principal arrangements with EMI Music Publishing for the administration of the local Ukrainian catalogue outside Ukraine. And these agreements already work and our national writers obtain money from the usage of their songs in foreign countries.

But still the serious problem that prevents the full development of publishing business is the unauthorized usage of material right of intellectual property (piracy – simply speaking). Although during the recent couple of years situation went to the right direction due to our co-operation with mass media and music product distributors.
Music publishing business is quite new for Ukrainian market but anyway it’s more and more royalty is collected from month to month!
