Our company COMP MUSIC LTD is the one of the oldest Ukrainian record companies – it’s been on the music market for already 15 years. Our firm is a distributor of the numerous independent music labels - ECM, Enja, Chesky, Harmonia Mundi, ACT etc.
Since 2000 our company represents the catalogue of EMI corporation on exclusive basis. EMI is one of the four major record companies. There are the mega-stars in EMI catalogue such as Enrique Caruso, Maria Callas, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen, Robbie Williams, Depeche Mode, Kylie Minogue and many others.
During the late 5 years COMP MUSIC actively works with ukrainian artists. The first signing was the long-term agreement with the band HAYDAMAKY in January 2002. For today we have the strong and muligenre local catalogue. Here are the names: Ruslana, Evgenia Vlasova, Mad Heads XL, Rosava, Talita Kum, D.Lemma, Krykhitka Tsakhes (Kleine Zahes), Max Chorny, Arachnophobia, U-RA, Nik_To and many others. The criterions of picking up the artist are not the genre likings but the quality of the music material and artists’ professionalism are the priority of making the choice. Our company also co-works with National Radiocompany of Ukraine, as the result - the several releases of number of Dmytro Gnatyuk albums and also the release of Klavdia Shul’zhenko album. In year 2003 Ruslana’s album “Dyki Tanci” became the first Ukrainian artist release that reached the “platinum” status (more than 100’000 copies were sold during the 6 months), in May 2006 this album reached the 400’000 copies sold (four times “platinum”). COMP MUSIC firm makes its best efforts to promote the local artists outside Ukraine. In year 2002 Evgenia Vlasova album “Veter Nadezhdy (Wind Of Hope)” was one of the first of the Ukrainian CDs released outside Ukraine and Russia. After Ruslana won the Eurovision – 2004 contest her single and album “WILD DANCES” were launched by different EMI offices in more than 20 countries all over the world (among them are England, Germany, Belgium, UAE etc.)! The single “Wild Dances” hit the tops of the charts in Belgium (#1), Greece (#1), Sweden (#8), Russia (#6), Germany (#40), Cyprus (#1), Czech Republic (#5), Slovenia (#5), and as well got into the "Europe Top 100" chart (#16). “Wild Dances” single became “golden” in Belgium and reached the best seller single 2004 in Greece. "Wild Dances" album got “platinum” in Slovakia and “gold” in Czech Republich. Ruslana was awarded with "World Music Awards" prize for the "Wild Dances" album and the "World Best Selling Ukrainian Artist" category was first introduced that year.
In the end of 2004 COMP MUSIC licensed the release of the "Orange Songs Ukrainian Revolution" compilation of the most famous Ukrainian performers in the territories of Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Holland, Slovenia and Baltic States.
In the fall of 2005 COMP MUSIC entered into agreement with German company ZYX Music concerning the promoting and selling the single “Nadiya Yea” by the band Mad Heads XL. The territory of the single release is the countries of the Western Europe; in particular it’s Germany, Austria and Switzerland. And in June by the agreement of COMP MUSIC and EMI album “Nadiya Yea” is going to be released in the Eastern Europe countries.

Marketing and promotion department of our company successfully co-operates with Ukrainian mass media for the long period of time. Due to the enormous photo bank, that our company has, printed mass media editions have the opportunity to obtain the latest photos of EMI artists. The practice of getting the exclusive interviews and music material for review is quite spread. Radiostations has the opportunity to make the launch of the brand new singles, get the radio ID’s from Ukrainian and foreign stars, made adapted to each particular station. We render the information-consulting services giving the video materials (video clips, live concerts, special materials so called EPK etc.) for the TV channels.
