Rosava "Kolysanki" (Lullabies) 2006 www.rosava.com.ua
The children grow with the speed of our ageing and become somebody. How can influence them, whom are they gonna be? What do we put in our children’s conscience?.. In 2005 Rosava launched the project called “The Nation starts with the lullaby”. The aim of it is the revival and promotion of national family values and bringing up the children (not only inside the family but in day nurseries, kinder gartens and in the other pre-school insitutions). The culmination of this project is the album of lullabies. The “Kolysanki” CD is quite an outstanding event in Ukrainian music culture because FIRST TIME in Ukraine there is such an album containing such songs released. The target audience is really huge. The CD is for the fathers and mothers, gramps and grannies, and what is more important for the children, who need caress. But definitely the album must be interesting for average music lover as the music components themselves are really undeniable. Interesting company had joined Rosava in creating the project – Eduard “Dilya” Prystupa (ex. TNMK member) and Reshet’ko borthers – Timofey and Evdokim, the bands YO-gurt, “Skhid Side” and many others. The arrangements are made in chamber and natural way. The majority of the compositions is the contemporary adaptation of authentic Ukrainian lullabies, which were picked up by the singer from different sources and only few of the songs are written by Rosava and Dilya. The whole music palette is concentrated around the flash-like Rosava singing, who for sure has the status of the one of the best singers in Ukraine (just to remind – Rosava (beside everything said above) is the winner of such festivals like Chervona Ruta – 99 and Maybutne Ukrainy (the Future of Ukraine). The album “Kolysanki” is out of time and fashion. This is truly Ukrainian product created for bringing up the children and to pass to the younger generation the legacy of motherland culture. On the other hand, this is just a nice and pleasant music performed by perfect singer Rosava. |
