MANSOUND «Hymn of Ukraine» (CD single) 2006
www.mansound.com.ua MANSOUND's first release is CD-single with “Hymn Of Ukraine” arranged in specific jazz manner. Kyiv a-capella sextet MANSOUND has been working since 1994. Now the band is the leading vocal brandname of Ukraine. Being regular participants of international jazz fests the members of MANSOUND are brilliant musicians and naturally they gained acclaim of music critics and listeners all around the world. The band’s itinerary so far contained repeated performances in “Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival” (USA), “Vokal.Total” (Austria), “Voice Mania” (Austria). In 2001 MANSOUND was nominated as The Best Vocal Group in All American Entertainment Awards (USA). Masterly rendition of the compositions in various genres, artistry and high skills of the band members themselves leave no doubt that MANSOUND is one of the brightest vocal groups nowadays. Sextet’s repertoire contains popular compositions by George Gershwin, Stevie Wonder, George Benson and other masters. Yet the band exploits gospel music and Slavic folk in original MANSOUND arrangements.
ABOUT THE SINGLE:
The single comprises 3 versions of “Hymn Of Ukraine” using contemporary arrangements. The first is a-capella version, the second is instrumental and the third is the one for karaoke.
